Compatible Coatings

STP’s spray gun works effectively with both water-based coatings and nitro-based paints. Before operation, thoroughly mix the paint in its container to blend any settled material at the bottom with the liquid on top. Transfer the mixture to a small container (such as a plastic bottle or cup), then add the appropriate thinner at a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2, depending on the paint type. Each coating—enamel, water-based, or nitrocellulose—requires its designated thinner. Stir well and then pour the prepared paint into the spray gun cup.

STP Reminder

Each STP spray gun is supplied with a dedicated cleaning kit. After completing your work, always clean the spray gun promptly to maintain optimal performance and extend its service life.
