Manual Spraying Curing Oven
A spray and baking booth is an industrial system used for surface coating and drying processes, widely applied in furniture manufacturing, automotive production, and other finishing industries. As an essential part of a liquid coating line, this equipment forms a controlled airflow with a specified load velocity through an air supply system. By combining water filtration or dry filtration technology, paint mist is efficiently captured and settled. Coating curing is accelerated using infrared heating, diesel heating, or electric heating methods, ensuring high-quality finishes.

The booth adopts a modular insulated spray-coated wall panel structure and is equipped with primary and high-efficiency filtration layers for air purification, achieving a filtration efficiency of over 98%. The air circulation system uses dedicated fans, while paint mist treatment options include water curtain type, pump-free water curtain type, and water vortex type. Exhaust gas treatment is typically handled by catalytic combustion or photocatalytic oxidation technologies.
The control system integrates a PLC programmable controller and an industrial computer monitoring system to realize automatic temperature control and fault alarms, making it a reliable solution within modern liquid coating equipment portfolios from ShengTai Painting Equipment.
Working Principle of the Spray Booth
During spraying, outside air passes through the air inlet for primary filtration and is then delivered by the supply fan into the booth’s static pressure chamber. After secondary filtration through ceiling filter cotton, the airflow is evenly distributed into the working zone. The airflow moves vertically downward around the workpiece, forming an effective air curtain.
Inside the booth, the loaded air velocity exceeds 0.3 m/s, preventing paint mist from remaining in the operator’s breathing zone. The mist is carried downward with the airflow, filtered by the water system at the bottom, and finally discharged through the exhaust duct at high elevation.
Working Principle of the Curing Booth
Infrared Heating:
Most organic coatings have strong absorption of infrared radiation, especially far-infrared rays. Therefore, infrared heating provides highly efficient drying, promoting fast curing, excellent coating quality, and preventing defects such as pinholes or blistering.
Air Purification System
The filtration system consists of two stages. The primary filter effectively captures dust particles larger than 10 μm, while the precision high-efficiency filter, with a multi-layer structure, captures particles larger than 4 μm. The entire system features large dust-holding capacity, low resistance, long service life, and filtration efficiency exceeding 98%.
Paint Mist Treatment System
Paint mist is treated using a water-based filtration system, offering low operating costs and excellent mist absorption efficiency. Noise levels inside the booth comply with GBJ87-85 Design Code for Noise Control of Industrial Enterprises and do not exceed 85 dB.
Structure and Configuration of the Spray & Curing Booth
The entire booth adopts a modular assembly structure. The enclosure is made of tongue-and-groove insulated spray-coated wall panels with excellent sealing and thermal insulation performance. The main door features aluminum alloy edging and an observation window for real-time monitoring. A side access door allows easy entry for operators. High-quality stainless steel heat exchangers ensure high heat transfer efficiency and long service life. Imported filter cotton and low-noise, high-air-volume fans are selected to guarantee outstanding coating results.
The spray booth provides:
①A clean working environment
②Efficient collection of paint mist
Depending on workpiece size, shape, weight, and production capacity, configurations can vary: open or enclosed type, continuous or intermittent operation, rotating or fixed workpieces, single-side or double-side spraying. In recent years, oil-curtain spray booths and bottom-spray booths have also been developed. Structurally, a complete system includes an air supply filtration system, workpiece hanging and conveying (with rotation), water curtain system, water washing system, exhaust system, water tank, lighting system, and booth enclosure—forming an integrated liquid coating line solution.
With advanced design, stable performance, and customizable solutions, ShengTai Painting Equipment provides professional liquid coating equipment that meets diverse industrial finishing requirements worldwide.
