Liquid Coating Line Solutions for Modern Industrial Surface Finishing
1. Suspended Spray Painting Line
This system adopts an overhead chain conveyor. The chain and rails can turn freely and move up or down. It mainly consists of a spray booth, enclosure, suspended conveying system, heating system, control system, and exhaust system.
The enclosure features a frame structure with formed oven panels as wall boards, ensuring easy assembly/disassembly and excellent thermal insulation. The suspended conveyor chain can be selected according to the weight of the customer’s products.
The oven heating method can be hot-air blowing or convection heating. Energy sources may include electricity, diesel, coal, firewood, or natural gas.
The drive system uses a variable-frequency motor for stepless speed adjustment. Temperature control is achieved with imported intelligent temperature controllers, offering high accuracy and equipped with timers and thermal overload protection.
2. Flat Spray Painting Line
The conveying system uses mesh belts, belts, or rollers. It mainly consists of a spray booth, enclosure, transmission system, heating system, control system, and exhaust system.
The enclosure adopts a frame structure with formed oven panels, featuring easy installation, good insulation, and stable flat conveying.
The oven heating method can be hot-air blowing or convection heating, with energy options including electricity, diesel, coal, firewood, or natural gas.
The control system also uses a variable-frequency motor for flexible speed regulation, and imported intelligent temperature controllers ensure precise temperature control.
3. Floor-Rail Spray Painting Line
This type uses a floor-rail chain conveyor and mainly includes a dust removal box, spray booth, enclosure, transmission system, heating system, control system, and exhaust system.
The enclosure is of frame structure with formed oven panels, providing convenient installation and good insulation. The floor-rail chain model is selected based on the product weight.
Oven heating can be hot-air blowing or convection heating, with multiple energy options available.
The drive system adopts variable-frequency speed regulation, allowing flexible operation. Overall, the spray painting production line offers advantages such as environmental friendliness, fast drying, automatic temperature control, variable-frequency speed regulation, fault alarms, easy operation, and an elegant appearance—key strengths of a modern liquid coating line. Typical Process Flow:
Overhead conveyor → Electrostatic dust removal → Primer coating → Flash-off leveling → Topcoat → Flash-off leveling → Drying (30 min, 80°C) → Cooling → Unloading

Equipment Composition
A coating production line mainly consists of seven major systems: pretreatment equipment, powder coating system, spray painting equipment, curing oven, heat source system, electrical control system, and suspended conveyor chain.
1. Pretreatment Equipment
Multi-stage spray pretreatment units are commonly used for surface preparation. Their principle is to accelerate chemical reactions through mechanical spraying to complete processes such as degreasing, phosphating, and rinsing.
A typical spray pretreatment process for steel parts includes: pre-degreasing → degreasing → water rinse → water rinse → surface conditioning → phosphating → water rinse → water rinse → pure water rinse.
Shot blasting machines can also be used, suitable for simple-structure steel parts with heavy rust and little or no oil, without causing water pollution.
2. Spray Painting Equipment
Such as dry spray booths and water-curtain spray booths, widely applied in machinery manufacturing, hardware and home appliances, electrical products, lighting, plastic parts, and large loader surface coating.
3. Curing Oven
The curing oven is one of the most critical pieces of equipment in a coating production line. Temperature uniformity is a key indicator for coating quality.
Heating methods include radiation heating, hot-air circulation, and a combination of radiation and hot-air circulation. Depending on production requirements, ovens can be single-chamber or pass-through types, with straight-through or bridge structures.
Hot-air circulation ovens offer excellent insulation, uniform internal temperature, and low heat loss. Tests show that the temperature difference inside the oven is less than ±3°C, meeting advanced international standards.
4. Heat Source System
Hot-air circulation is the most widely used heating method, utilizing convection to heat the oven and achieve drying and curing of workpieces.
Heat sources can be selected according to user requirements, including electricity, steam, gas, or fuel oil.
The heat source unit can be installed on the top, bottom, or side of the oven. Special high-temperature-resistant circulation fans ensure long service life, low energy consumption, low noise, and compact size.
5. Electrical Control System
Electrical control for coating and coating production lines can be centralized or independent.
Centralized control uses PLC systems to automatically control each process step according to programmed logic, with data acquisition and alarm monitoring.
Independent control is the most common method, with each process controlled separately. Control cabinets are installed near the equipment, offering low cost, intuitive operation, and easy maintenance.
6. Suspended Conveyor Chain
The suspended conveyor is a key conveying system for industrial production lines and coating lines. Accumulating suspended conveyors are widely used in storage racks (L = 10–14 m) and special-shaped streetlight alloy steel pipe coating lines.
Workpieces are hung on special hangers with a load capacity of 500–600 kg. Smooth switching at turnouts is achieved through electrical control.
This system enables automatic conveying through each process station, parallel accumulation and cooling in forced cooling chambers, and hanger identification with traction alarm shutdown devices in cooling areas.
