High-Temperature Curing Oven for Powder Coating

INDUSTRIAL CURING OVEN KEY COMPONENTS

An industrial curing oven consists of five primary systems: the oven enclosure, heater unit, supply air system, recirculated air system, and exhaust air system.

1.  Oven Enclosure – serves as the curing chamber. It comprises a support framework, insulated panels, product entry points, and air seals. The enclosure is engineered to bear both structural loads and the weight of the product conveying system. ShengTai utilizes galvanized steel on interior and exterior surfaces to ensure robust support and rigidity.  

2.  Heater Unit – generates the thermal energy required for curing. This unit includes a burner, supply fan, and filtration system. In ShengTai ovens, the heated air makeup section is externally insulated and remains safe to the touch. Fresh air is drawn through base filters into the burner cabinet, where it is heated to the precise temperature needed for baking and curing. BEPL plug fans, selected by ShengTai for their high-temperature durability, ensure reliable heating and safe exhaust of hot air.  

3. Supply Air System – delivers and distributes heated air throughout the oven. Supply ducts are positioned along oven walls and between alternate conveyors. Correct layout prevents cold spots and promotes uniform airflow and temperature.  

4. Recirculated Air System – continuously reintroduces thermal energy into the curing chamber. This system requires careful design, as improper configuration may adversely affect curing performance.  

Exhaust Air System – maintains a safe working environment by removing fumes produced during curing. A well-functioning system ventilates the oven before each startup and continuously extracts hazardous vapors throughout the process.
